Every year, we have the privilege of installing a brand-new system in the home of a local hero, someone who gives selflessly, faces hardship with quiet strength, or simply needs a helping hand. These are neighbors, teachers, first responders, veterans, caregivers, and everyday people who deserve to feel supported and seen.
If someone comes to mind—maybe it’s a friend, a family member, or someone in your community who’s always looking out for others—please take a few moments to nominate them.

At Thigpen Heating & Cooling, we believe comfort is more than a working AC or heater, it’s knowing someone cares. That’s why we’re honored to partner with Lennox for their Feel The Love® program, a national initiative that gives free HVAC systems to deserving individuals who have fallen on hard times or spent their lives serving others.

Recipient Selection: Around September 1, 2026
Installation Week: 2nd week of October, 2026
How the Program Works
• Call for Nominations
Each spring, community members can nominate unsung heroes via an online form at FeelTheLove.com. Nominations open May 1 and close August 31 each year .
• Who Qualifies?
Nominees must live in the U.S. (excluding Alaska) or eligible Canadian provinces, own a single‑family home with central HVAC equipment, and can demonstrate financial need and community impact. Nomination cannot be self‑nominations or from someone in the nominator’s household.
• Selection & Installation
After a review period (finalizing around September 1), winners are selected based on criteria including need, impact, and location. During a designated Install Week in October, participating Lennox dealers volunteer to perform installation of a Merit® Series HVAC system—plus extended warranty coverage—free to recipients .

Impact to Date
• Since its start in 2009, the program has donated over 2,700 HVAC systems across the U.S. and Canada, totaling more than $12 million in donated materials, equipment, and labor .
• In 2024 alone, more than 435 homes received installations, reflecting a significant increase in dealer participation year over year .
• Recipients—ranging from teachers, veterans, healthcare workers, volunteers to families facing hardship—gain not only home comfort but also peace of mind and reduced energy costs (estimated 30–40% utility savings) .
